Joy Amplification
Joy Amplification helps you savor a good moment, stretch out a positive feeling, and carry more of it with you. It's a writing exercise where you vividly replay a happy or meaningful moment and let yourself fully feel it again.
Deliberately replaying and dwelling on a positive moment, a practice called savoring, extends and intensifies the good feeling and helps it lodge more firmly in memory. You may feel the original joy return, warmth, a smile, and a lingering lift afterward. Savoring positive experiences has been studied for boosting mood, positive emotion, and overall wellbeing. It comes from positive psychology research on savoring, the skill of fully taking in and prolonging good experiences. If it feels hard to fully re-enter the moment at first, that's normal, even a little savoring counts, and it gets richer the more you practice.
