Gratitude Meditation

Gratitude Meditation lifts your mood, shifts attention toward what's good, and leaves you feeling warmer and more content. It's the practice of bringing to mind people, moments, or things you appreciate, and letting that appreciation settle.

Deliberately dwelling on what you appreciate directs attention away from worry and toward positive experience, which over time can strengthen a more grateful, contented baseline. You may feel a gentle warmth, lightness, or ease as you reflect. Gratitude practices have been studied for supporting mood, life satisfaction, and overall wellbeing. Reflecting on what we appreciate is a practice found across many spiritual and philosophical traditions, and modern positive psychology has studied it widely. If gratitude feels forced on a hard day or nothing comes to mind at first, that's okay, even small or simple things count, and it gets easier with practice.
