Accountability Buddy Call

The Accountability Buddy Call helps you follow through on a commitment by putting it on the record with someone else. It's a writing exercise where you plan what you'll commit to, and to whom, so a goal has someone behind it besides you.

Telling someone else what you intend to do adds social commitment, which research shows makes you significantly more likely to follow through than a private intention. You may feel a bit more on the hook in a good way, with a clearer sense of commitment. Accountability and publicly stated commitments have been studied for substantially improving goal follow-through. It draws on behavioral science around commitment and accountability, widely used in coaching and habit-building. If naming a commitment out loud feels like pressure, that's normal, that gentle pressure is the point, and you can start with a small, doable promise.

Your program picks one to three of these a day, in the minutes you have.
