Breathwork

From the yogic tradition (pranayama)

Spinal Breathing

In the app: Spinal Breathing + Kapalabhati Pranayama

This practice energizes and awakens you, building focus alongside vitality. It pairs a spinal breath, where you draw the breath up and down along the spine, with rounds of Kapalabhati, short forceful exhales. It's a vigorous breath, so skip it if you're pregnant or have heart or blood-pressure conditions, and stop if you feel faint.

The Kapalabhati raises energy and oxygen turnover while the spinal focus draws your attention along the body, combining activation with concentration. You may feel lightheaded, tingling, and warmth, all normal, and you can rest anytime. Rapid pranayama has been studied for raising alertness and energy. It comes from yogic and kriya traditions that pair spinal energy practices with the skull-shining breath. It's completely normal to find this demanding at first, the capacity for it builds gradually over weeks of practice, so start gentle and let it grow.

Your program picks one to three of these a day, in the minutes you have.
